Institute for Humane Studies Summer Seminars

The IHS Summer Seminars are a great opportunity for students to combine learning economics, history, philosophy and political science and discover ways to change the world.

For four days, professors lead lively discussions in lectures and over meals on the ideas of free and open societies. In addition to intellectual stimulation, students also get the chance to network and make lasting friendships with other talented peers who share their passion for making a difference. Even more exciting is the chance to engage with professors during meals as well as class sessions.

There are three options to choose from, all on the beautiful Bryn Mawr College campus located right outside Philadelphia, PA. The Foundations of Liberty seminars are great places for students to get their feet wet while the Liberty & Society Seminar is good for those with a strong knowledge base:

Foundations of Liberty: The Rule of Law
June 12 – 15

Foundations of Liberty: Historical Perspectives
June 19 – 22

Liberty & Society
June 26 – 29

Thanks to generous donors, IHS covers room and board. Participants need only cover their travel expenses. More details are available on the IHS Summer Seminars website.

But don’t delay. The application deadline is March 31. So if a student wishes to secure a spot they should apply today!
