Marine Biology Course (Autumn 2014) - A few spaces left!

Discover what lies beneath the waves, from deep-sea jellies to orca whales. Uncover why the ocean is salty, where life started, and how tides work. Ocean acidification, harmful algal blooms, overfishing, climate impacts - explore the issues facing the blue planet. Experience the ocean up close and personal on one of 5 exciting field trips!

Who: Any UW student! No prerequisites. Seniors interested in taking this course Autumn Quarter in Seattle for the Marine Biology minor should email marbiol@uw.edu for an add code to register during Period I.

When: Autumn Quarter

Credit: 5 credits; NW/I&S

Want to dive deeper? Minor in Marine Biology! FISH/OCEAN/BIOL** 250 (5 credit version) is a core course for the Marine Biology Minor. You can declare the marine biology minor anytime (even pre-major!) and it can be paired with any major!

**What does FISH/OCEAN/BIOL 250 mean? Basically, this course is cross-listed across 3 departments. You can sign up for either FISH 250, OCEAN 250, or BIOL 250 - all of these listings are for the same class!  So, if you see that the lab section you want is full, simply search for the same section under a different prefix.
