Seattle City Council Legislative Internship Opportunity

Are you curious about municipal law-making, local government or looking to practice your communication skills and see how local government utilizes press and social media?  Here’s your chance to learn about public policy, communications and much more about the City of Seattle.

 Seattle City Councilmember Jean Godden is offering an unpaid internship (will sign off to receive school credits if applicable).


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking curious and talented individuals with an interest in the legislative process and communications.  If you have strong writing and organizational skills, great!  If your skills need sharpening, we can help you!  You should possess an excellent work ethic and the ability to complete projects assigned. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and database programs is also desired.

Intern (unpaid)

15-20 hours per week (mornings or afternoons)
Fall Quarter
Seattle City Hall, Second Floor, 600 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, WA

Responsibilities include:  Reception, research, drafting letters, assisting with staffing on relevant issues, assisting with office communications, special projects and other duties as assigned.
