Seeking Student for Part-Time PAID Internship for Research Job in Seattle WA for LA Based Court TV show

HOT BENCH is a nationally syndicated television program produced in Los Angeles, CA. We employ
researchers throughout the country and have chosen Seattle, WA as one of our research markets.
From the producers of Judge Judy, HOT BENCH adds a new dimension to the court genre, with a
panel of three judges hearing court cases, arguing the merits of the case amongst themselves and
rendering a verdict.

Position: Small Claims Court Researcher (Stringer)

Eligibility: Currently enrolled law students, undergraduate students, or non-students; no recent
graduates, unless you are not interested in or looking for full time employment of any kind.

Job description: Seattle based Stringer/Field Researcher will go to courts to research information
contained in pending small claims cases. As a stringer, you’ll be looking for interesting and compelling
cases that will be produced for daytime television. In some instances, you may need to drive a good
distance to and from courts. Driving time is paid for, and mileage is reimbursed. You will need to
keep in regular and frequent contact with the Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity to
gain both legal and entertainment experience for your resume.

Requirements: We are seeking students/other qualified candidates who are self-motivated, efficient,
professional, organized, and have strong communication skills. You must possess a working car with
insurance. Legal/court knowledge is preferred, but not required.

You must fulfill weekly obligation consistently to retain position. This is a year-round job.

Pay Rate: $10/hour; $0.565/mile. Work-related expenses will be reimbursed (photocopying, etc.).
