The Leonardo Academy has volunteer and internship opportunities to allow students to engage in the development and
implementation of the Draft National Sustainable Agriculture Standard
(LEO-4000).
This will be of particular interest to people working on
sustainability for the supply chain, procurement, and food service. The goal for this standard is to engage the entire supply chain from producers to consumers in transforming
agricultural production to sustainability.
These
internship and volunteer opportunities include the development of
numerous tools and information
resources and promotion of the use of this standard. All these internship
and volunteer projects will facilitate and promote use of the standard
by agricultural producers, manufacturers, processors and retailers.
Opportunities include projects in marketing, outreach, and research on agricultural sustainability
topics. These projects are designed to draw on a broad range of student interests and areas of expertise.
