WHAT is it?

The Husky Leadership Certificate recognizes and celebrates UW students' innovative leadership accomplishments and characteristics. Students work with a mentor who guides them in reflecting on their time as Huskies. The product of this is a student-created e-portfolio demonstrating what they have learned about leadership and who they have become as leaders.

WHO are we looking for?

We seek undergraduate Huskies in their 3rd, 4th or 5th year who practice leadership in a variety of ways. Our leaders are change-agents, activists, community organizers, entrepreneurs, scholars and more.

HOW do you get involved?

If you are interested in pursuing the Husky Leadership Certificate, you can learn more about the program, the process, and find the application here. On this site, you can also learn about the leadership e-portfolio and view examples from previous students.

WHY participate?

The Husky Leadership Certificate builds upon students’ previous experiences and adds value to their degrees by increasing self-awareness of their campus engagement, community impact, and personal development. Certificate recipients will be able to articulate their values, goals, strengths and how their Husky experience has prepared them to become effective leaders on campus and in the years to come.

WHEN should you apply?

Today! If not today, then definitely no later than Monday, November 3, at noon. Applications willnot be accepted after that day and time. Apply here.
