Sociology department internships of interest to pre-law students Winter 2015, DEADLINE Nov. 7th

The Sociology department is again offering several fabulous 2-quarter internship opportunities with our long-standing Civic and Community partners; CourtWatch, Federal Public Defenders Office, HUD, and Seattle Municipal Court.

These are great opportunitites for students to connect their classroom experiences with real world work and they should be of particular interest to students who are thinking about careers in the legal field. The mentors in our partner organizations take their work with our interns
very seriously and are eager to provide rich and meaningful experiences for the students.

In winter quarter students sign up for Soc 404, a 5 credit graded seminar (W 1:30-3:20, SLN 19453), and in the spring, if they need the credits, we can sign them up for 2-5 credits of Soc 399 and arrange for a faculty supervisor.
