Note that while you can participate in commencement exercises, your name will appear in the 2015-16 commencement book, not this year's book. Not participating in commencement? The summer graduation application deadline is July 10.
WHERE DO I APPLY? HOW DO I APPLY? To make an appointment to apply for graduation with Political Science Advising, go to https://depts.washington.edu/polsadvc/index.html and click on the "Click Here to Sign Up for an Appointment" link. Appointments must be made at least one day in advance, by April 16 for the April 17 deadline.
Double and Triple Majors: You must complete a graduation application with EACH of your majors.
GRADUATION CELEBRATIONS: The Political Science Convocation will be held on Thursday, June 11, from 10:45am to 12:15pm. Students who graduated in Summer 2014, Autumn 2014, Winter 2015 or who applied to graduate in Spring 2015 or by the April application deadline for Summer 2015 will receive registration instructions in early May.

Applications for the Political Science Honors program are available. Deadline is Friday, April 24th.
If you are interested in applying to the Political Science Honors Program, go to our online application at https://catalyst.uw.edu/collectit/dropbox/meroy/35178. There you will see a description of the 2015-16 program and eligibility requirements and components of the application.
It is due by Friday, April 24th.
Students accepted into the 2015-16 program will enroll in Pol S 398 (Honors Seminar) in autumn quarter and must take two 400-level seminars chosen from a departmental list. The 400-level seminars may be taken at any time but must be completed by spring 2016 (seminars already
completed or in progress may count toward this requirement). Students will also write a thesis and will be registered in Pol S 488 and 489 (Honors Senior Thesis) in winter and spring quarters.
Students completing this program will earn 'Honors in Political Science' at graduation. Students who are in the College of Arts & Sciences Honors Program, as well as in the Political Science Honors Program, will earn 'College Honors in Political Science' at graduation.
Some applicants may be contacted to schedule an interview with a member of the Honors Committee during spring quarter. All applicants will be notified by email regarding their acceptance into the program.

Eligibility:
Bachelor Candidates:
Students who earned a degree in Summer 2014, Autumn 2014, or Winter 2015,
or have applied to graduate with a departmental advisor for Spring 2015 or
Summer 2015 are eligible. Once the application for graduation has been
completed and received by the Office of Graduation and Academic Records (206-543-1803),
the student will be eligible to complete the Commencement Registration/Order
Form.
Master’s, Doctoral or
Professional Candidates: Graduates who earned their degrees in Summer 2014,
Autumn 2014, or Winter 2015 or candidates who have a reasonable expectation of
graduating in Spring 2015 or Summer 2015 are eligible to participate.
Names Listed in Program: The
Commencement program lists the names of graduates from Summer 2014 through

Lavender Graduation Committee - Volunteer Opportunity
The Q Center and Queer Student Commission (QSC) host Lavender Graduation as a time for the UW queer, trans*, two-spirit, same gender loving, and allied communities to come together and celebrate our multiple identities, our accomplishments, and sheer AWESOMENESS.
We are currently seeking volunteers who are interested in serving on the planning committee. Typically, the time commitment consists of a 1-hour meeting every other week, which will change to weekly meetings closer to the event or as needed. We also ask that committee members attend and volunteer the day of the ceremony.
This year's Lavender Graduation will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:30PM @ the UW Tower Mezzanine Level Lounge.
If you are looking for a way to get involved/stay connected with the Q Center, meet people, and share your ideas to make Lavender Graduation even more phenomenal than it already is, then the planning committee is for you!

Lavender Graduation 2014
When: TUESDAY, June 10th, from 6-8:30 p.m. Graduates please arrive NO LATER than 5:15 p.m.
Where: THE UW TOWER, Mezzanine Level Cafeteria (Brooklyn Avenue is closed in front of Tower, please make parking arrangements in the UW Tower lot ($15 for special graduation day pass), on the street, on campus, or in the Hotel Deca parking lot. Parking for people with disabilities will be available in the UW Tower lot).
How: IF YOU ARE GRADUATING; please register here.
Dress: You can wear whatever you want! This is your graduation and as queer and trans* folks we are often "required" by work, school, family, culture, etc. to dress in ways that do not necessarily fit our tastes. If you wish to wear the cap and gown, wear it. If you want to appear in drag, do it. All clothing has cultural significance, but sometimes we want to wear cultural regalia that honors our history,ourselves and the moment, please do so! If you want to dress up, or down, go for it. You want to be comfy, have at it. This is your night. All of your identities are celebrated as is the awesomeness that is you and our UW queer communities!
